Automated process records Veterans’ community administered vaccinations

The VA recently implemented an improved Community Administration of Vaccine Encounters (CAVE) process, which automatically records Veterans immunizations into their medical record.

If you are given an immunization in an emergency department or urgent care setting, you will still need to provide a copy of the immunization record to your VA provider.
