Intake Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking an individual who can meet the demands of a fast-paced Intake Representative. Our Intake Representative wants to deliver World-Class Service while showing compassion to our veterans. This individual must value honor and respect for our veterans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process high call volume – inbound and outbound calls to and from patients, family members, or medical providers.
- Processing order entries, up to 100 per day.
- Coordinate with various branches for remote printing.
- Must be flexible between duties and on job tasks.
- Troubleshoot DME equipment as needed for a repair or decide if damaged beyond repair.
- Educate patients/caregivers about oxygen, equipment, or hospital requirements/policies.
- Document patient records accordingly (e.g., missed appointments, prescription changes, perform patient audits, research patient files, or personal information changes.) to maintain file integrity.
- Run and process daily route reports.
- Cross-trained to function in multiple departments as needed.
Education and Skills:
- Brightree, Apachetta, or other windows based medical software preferred.
- Advanced data entry skills, 10-Key Type 35WPM
- MS Excel – intermediate level (resizing columns/rows, basic formulas etc.)
- Advance phone and communication skills
- Multitasking is essential, you must be able to communicate effectively while document processes.
- Resolve issues with VA or a similar entity as needed.
- Effectively uses time management skills.
Position Requirements:
- Must be legally able to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or higher education.
- Must be able to understand and speak English fluently. Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in a medical office, DME, or hospital.
- Ability to process written and oral communication from various sources.

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Weekends may be needed in an emergency.
