Texas HHSC Announce Extension of Emergency SNAP Benefits for August

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is providing $267 million in emergency Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food benefits for the month of August in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These emergency SNAP benefits continue to help Texans during the ongoing pandemic by providing food for individuals and their families,” said Texas HHS Access and Eligibility Services Deputy Executive Commissioner Wayne Salter. “We are happy to continue to support that need.”
