VA advocates for unhoused Veterans

homelessness

VA News – For many people who have experienced homelessness after serving in the military, the path to stable housing is not a straight line, but housing initiatives and other programs are available for Veterans. The Housing and Urban Development Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) is there to make sure that Veteran’s situations can get better.

If you are a Veteran who is homeless or at risk for homelessness or need to connect with a Veterans justice outreach specialist, call the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-4AID-VET (877-424-3838) or visit the VA Homeless Programs website to learn about housing initiatives and other programs for Veterans exiting homelessness.
